went to the MCA this evening
mark bradford - this guy paints with paper. grew up in a hair salon and uses perm “end papers” in his art. many pieces look mappy. cool textures and compositions.
rad website too. once you get over the interface. i like the use of broom and step stool for scale.

i saw her work at the MCA in 2004 and recently have been reading about her again. her hanging sculptures are like intricate mobiles.
i think her work is weirdly reminiscent of tim burton
