coralline red algae
my metals project, inspired by this fantastic sea junk. its a brooch, with flaws, but i like the way it turned out.
i photographed this algea when k and i rolled down the cali coast 2 summers ago. i recently read that when in the water, this algae is a pinkish red color but when it dies and dries up in tide pools it turns bleach white. cool.
